Things to do Tuesday

It's late Monday night, we just got home from a late night at Hollywood Studios.  The weather is beautiful and it is a perfect time to go and enjoy the Christmas decorations and Christmas music.  I am definitely getting my money's worth out of our passes.

I went with a friend from high school, my partner in crime when we need a little adult time. We enjoyed a Starbucks coffee courtesy of gift card I needed to use and she bought a tray of nachos for us to share later on in the evening. They were delish!

This morning, I packed up items that sold over the weekend for eBay and dropped them off at the post office. Walked the dogs, washed clothes, cleaned up the kitchen.... pretty much the usual stuff. No Thrifting or grocery shopping today.

Tuesday List:

  • Go through the PILE of mail on the counter.  It just keeps growing!
  • Hit up Publix for the BOGO pies - part of our Thanksgiving contribution at the in-laws
  • Start pulling out Christmas decorations -  But we are keeping it small. At least that is the plan.
  • Research a recipe or two for Kringla cookies - I don't know how to make Lefse (Norwegian Flat Bread) and I want to honor my Norwegian heritage this year with the cookies.  I hope my cousin is sending me a few rounds of her homemade lefse, it is always a special treat that reminds me of my mom.
I am going to pass by the bank on Tuesday or Wednesday to pull out some cash for my money managing envelopes. I put together the envelopes yesterday, made them out of scrapbook printed paper.   How will that work out?  Time will tell and I will keep you posted on the progress.

What's on your to-do list?

  1. I'm going to attempt to exercise on my foot and pray it works and sew and get as much housework done as I can. Thanksguving is so late this year but I am trying to wait until then to decorate. Trying, mind you.

    1. Wishing you the best with your foot! You are always seem to accomplish so much. And whatever decorations you manage to get put up will be enough.

  2. I have several Norwegian cookie recipes if you are interested. Last year my middle daughter bought me a new lefsa iron and I am so excited to use it this year.

    1. Hi Kim, Thanks for the recipe offer! I have a recipe for Kringla from a cousin that I am going to try. What else would you suggest? Something not to complicated :-)

And a Lefese iron, now that is exciting. Cant wait to hear or read how you like it!
